(Mini) Book Review: From Twinkle , With Love #BlogchatterA2Z

I read this book a while ago and freakin’ loved it! This was the first book I read by Sandhya Menon and absolutely fell in love with her writing, it’s so fun loving! I loved the character of Twinkle! So relatable and her aspirations , ambitions and hardwork is to die for! It’s not a cliché romance novel! Twinkle lives in reality! I loved how insecurities Twinkle had were displayed.

Will write a full detailed review soon! ☺️

Title: To All The Boys I’ve Loved before

Author: Jenny Han

Genre: Young Adult Contemporary

blurb (3).png

Song sisters!

Lara Jean: The protagonist of the story, a simple girl, nerd, shy and all adorable. I especially loved how the author expresses her feelings! `Her character is not perfect and that was what I loved the most about her! Letters, oh dear lord, writing letters is just absolutely beautiful.
Kitty: I loved Kitty’s character, a perfect mix of smart, cute, witty and quirky! She is someone with whom one shouldn’t mess up but her cuteness is just charming enough to attract!
Margot: The eldest in the “Song Sisters”

Peter Kavinsky: The typical “cool” kid of the high school! His character is defined cute :))
This book has been popularized a lot.

I am late reading this and even more late in reviewing this but I LOVED THIS BOOK. Especially, Jenny Han’s enjoyable writing! This book is a perfect mix of cuteness and fun. A simple, easy read! The part I most loved about this book was the family!! The Song Sisters and the dad took my heart away. While reading the whole book, I was just in awe of the family, though there were complexities in them but they still manage to charm the reader!
Baking!! The book is filled with baking by Lara Jean! Oh my god, how much I loved reading about baking in the whole book, I seriously must have had a recipe book while reading this!
“My favourite food is cake”
“What kind of cake?”
“It doesn’t matter. All cake.”
“You just gave me so much shit for not picking,” he begins.
“But it’s so hard to pick one kind!” I burst out. “I mean, there’s coconut cake, the kind with white frosting that looks like a snowball — I like that a lot. But then I also like cheesecake, and lemon cake, and carrot cake. Also red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, and chocolate cake with chocolate ganache frosting.” I pause. “Have you ever had olive-oil cake?”
“No. That sounds weird.”
“It’s really, really goood. Really moist and delicious. I’ll make it for you.”
Peter groans. “You’re making me hungry.”

Another thing which I loved about this book was the friendship of Chris and Lara Jean! They were so different but so unique that charmed me!

I loved how Lara Jean’s anxiety is represented. Lara Jean in the whole book tries to find who she really is, and I must say she is perfect in her world, she is just too imperfectly perfect for anyone to fall for her!
The ending becomes quite predictable but still it is an amazing read!
This book may not be the one which gives you a strong message, a thought but it will definitely be the one to charm you, relax you! 🙂

Why did I start book blogging?

My bookstagram (@thatreaderbee) turns 1 today :)))))). I love being in this community, I have met some great people here, got some great book recommendations!

Before starting this blog, I used write summaries of the books I’ve read and what I felt while reading it but I eventually stopped doing that while in the middle school.
But around an year back, I found some amazing bookstagramer’s profiles and loved the idea of expressing views of a certain book on a huge platform. I hope to make more people read through book blogging and bookstagramming! :))
