what is love?

•no, love doesn’t look like the breathtaking view we get after the hardest climb.

but

love is the one who’s with us till the hardest climb.

•no, love doesn’t smell like your hometown.

but

it gives you the sense of comfort you need whenever you are away from your hometown. love becomes your home.

•no, love doesn’t taste like the chocolate syrup on your cupcakes.

but

it makes you love them even more.

•no, love doesn’t know the lyrics of all your favourite songs.

but,

love makes you feel those uplifting beats, love makes you enjoy the music.

love is messy. love is imperfect. love has its flaws. love makes you love the person you are around them. love is beautiful. tell love he/she is beautiful. he/she too is a human being afterall.

To the Wrong Time, Right Person,

We told each other we just met each other at the wrong time, we will meet each other again because we are too real. We named ourselves “Wrong time,Right person”. We promised each other a ” someday”
But were we really right for each other?

Someday sounds a lot like what people say when they actually mean never.

It was us who gave time the power to do this to us. It wasn’t “time”, it was us. We are using time as an excuse to forget the reality that maybe we are just wrong people for each other.

Here’s a simple truth that I think we all need to face up to: the people we meet at the wrong time are actually just the wrong people.

Right people aren’t the ones who don’t align with our plans instead they are the plan. For the right person, we won’t give up.

You’ll find the right person. The right person who doesn’t let time decide for you.

The right people are timeless. The right people make you want to throw away the plans you originally had for one and follow them into the hazy, unknown future without a glance backwards. The right people don’t make you hmm and haw about whether or not you want to be with them, you just know.. That no matter what you thought you wanted before, this s better. Everything is better since they came along.

Kintsugi, it literally means “to join with gold”. It is a Japanese art dated back to Muromachi period wherein the broken crockery is not thrown away rather each crack is filled with golden sand. This makes them charming!

In this era, where we tend to put on brave faces hiding our imperfection and flaws, we must learn that each of our crack is beautiful. We are constantly striving for perfection, we forget to notice how imperfectly perfect we are.

The world breaks everyone and afterwards many are stronger at broken places

Each break transforms us, makes us better human beings. Every experience in our life is either a memory or a lesson. Through each break, we learn,so, lets be grateful for each break which made us learn and imperfection which makes us unique in our own ways.

To Kintsugi,

Though centuries old, you still help us understand one of the most important lesson.

Hey. If you have been feeling like giving up, please hold on. Remember why you started, why you are here. You’ve come a long way but there is still a long path for you to cover. I understand things are hard right now, you feel exhausted but trust me there are moments worth holding on for.

We live in moments,moments of realizations of how far we have come ; in that moment you will be grateful for not giving up right now. Think of everything you could do if you don’t give up now.

To the ones who stayed,

With every storm thrown at me by the life, you were the one who stayed. Thank you. Thank you for listening to my ramblings, letting me cry on your shoulders, soothing my anxious soul. I will always be grateful for the “us” we are and the “us’ we will be.  Thank you for always understanding my flaws not to judge me but know me. You will always be the first person I would run to , to tell any good news. Thank you for gifting me with your presence. While people grew apart, you were the one I’m growing up with.Maybe the next we know is that we are adults. Maybe we will be miles away from each other, leave the country but you will the one who would never leave my heart.

And I promise. I promise to stay; to stay by your side like you did. I promise I’ll go to the battle when you’re exhausted. I promise I’ll the shoulder you could cry on when you want to. I’ll listen your stories. I promise you many more memories.

Each day I’m thankful for nights that turned into mornings, friends that turned into family, dreams that turned into reality and like that turned into love.
