BLURB
Things were never the same for five ordinary individuals who got struck at crossroads and there was no way they can run back. They had no other choice but to take a plunge into their deepest fear and leave the rest to destiny. Their characters was tested out of their comfort zone and it witnessed abstruse results; a Ph.D. scholar fights to win a pizza making contest and a tennis prodigy running for his life in a war-torn, bloodied Island. Extreme circumstances and their consequences made these ordinary individuals extraordinary . Was the test imposed on them by someone? Or did they invite it on themselves. The Blue Moon Day is that Once in a Blue Moon day story which questions an individual’s priorities, ridicules the worldly routines and finally redefines happiness

I would like to thank author and publisher for the review copy!

Abi: The Pizza Engineer
Deepak: The Messenger
Vivi: Not Today
Sankaran and Anustup: The Storyteller
Prabhakaran: The Heaven

MY REVIEW
The book contains six chapters describing the lives of five ordinary men. But circumstances make them extraordinary. Each short story defines a meaningful and inspiring moral. The story of Vivi was a bit dramatic but it also gave some important lessons. It told us that how we have stopped working on the dream which we always dreamed of and now stuck in a rat race to please someone.
I really liked the story of Sankaran. Many old aged people think that their life’s gonna end and don’t focus on what hey can do now but either keep thinking about death. Suicidal thoughts also keep them away from living their life now and cherish all the moments in the life. They have a chance to do everything they may have missed upon earlier.
Prabhakaran’s story discusses some important issues from health to justice. This story defined every aspect of life in such a beautiful way. It even described death so beautifully. Everything in this world has something positive it is just the way we think about it.
The story of Abi gave a really important lesson. The story tells that how many awards we have won or how we topped doesn’t matter but we have to learn from everything and follow what we liked to do.

MY RATING
4.5/5
You should read this if you want to read some meaningful short stories!

Review

This was the first books I read by John Green and i truly fell in love with his writing. The portrayal of characters was amazing. It is one of my favorite reads of 2018. John Green mirrors his own life in this book with OCD. He named the book turtles all the way down which is an amazing expression for a book. The book starts with Aza and her OCD. Aza and her best friend Daisy are trying to find out the billionaire, Russell Pickett. Aza and the billionaire’s son David Pickett are childhood friends and when his father is lost Aza get her chance to meet him again. While Aza was trying to maintain everything, she had her spiral of her own thoughts. The thing about the book I liked was the friendship of Aza and Daisy. They support each other, they fight and be the best friends of each other for their lives.

Will Aza be able to find the billionaire, Russel Pickett?

The cover describes a lot about book. It shows the two different aspects in the author’s life.

Review

The author’s writing skills are amazing and also how he defines a charachter.

The mission during attacks in Mumbai was amazing. I loved that part of the book. The mystery and thriller in the book was also interesting. I don’t like romance a lot but I really liked the thriller in the book. If you like romance you should totally give this a try, you won’t regret. The ending is awesome.

“19 Till I Die” by Anjali Kirpalani book review

Blurb

For Zaid from Durban, it was heartbreak. For Fiona, who loves New Delhi, it had always been a dream. Rachna needs this chance to step out of Australia and her comfort zone. Tia from Mumbai sees it as a ticket away from her over-protective parents. The four find themselves at the University of Guelph in Canada. Adventure awaits, and a chance at love lingers amidst the crowds – in the halls, at the bars, on the dancefloor. Some of them will find it. But, as with such powerful life-altering things as love, it’s not going to be easy. It’s too late to turn back to the drab, safe and predictable lives they left behind. Might as well buckle up and hold on tight as they brace themselves for the ride of their lives.

My rating 4/5

This story contains the lives of four nineteen years old students at thr university in Canada with ups and downs, challenges, solutions, friendships and many other circumstances they need to go through. As the age “nineteen” is referred to the new adulting age when we get the freedom in our lives. We live a life responsibly. This book revolves around these topics where the author with the situations of the four students. It was not easy to deal living by themselvesin a new country when they just started adulthood. The title and cover attracted me to read this book and the book is amazing. This book is light read.

Somewhere between right and wrong, past and future, there is a now. Don’t let it go as ‘now’ often leads to a new road.

The story revovles around four people in which one inspires to live their own life and roam freely while the others struggle to live a life they want. This book inspires people to follow their dreams
